The Agriculture Program provides facilitative leadership to both the public and private sectors to support the sustainable development of agriculture, forestry, aquaculture, fisheries and other natural resources. - Business
The Business and Community Economic Development Program facilitates the development of a sustainable economy that enhances the standard of living of the residents and the economic viability of businesses in Hawai‘i County. - Energy
The Hawai‘i County Energy Program is administered and implemented by the Energy Coordinator. The Energy Coordinator participates in State and utility energy planning and regulatory programs, maintains the County's energy emergency preparedness program and implements comprehensive energy efficiency and renewable energy program for the County of Hawai‘i. - Film
The Big Island Film Office promotes Hawai‘i Island worldwide as a film destination, encourages growth of local film production and of local infrastructure, and collaborates with state and county government, the business sector and the larger community to provide a "film friendly" environment for production. - HCRC
The mission of the Resource Center is to facilitate the sustainability of Hawai‘i Island through community based collaboration and capacity building services. - Information
The Information Resources Program collects, maintains and disseminates statistical, reference and program information to County and State agencies, and the general public. - Tourism
The Tourism Program provides collaborative leadership to strategically manage tourism on Hawai‘i Island in a sustainable manner that promotes a high quality life for residents, preservation of our natural and cultural resources, quality experiences for visitors and economic growth for the county.
Our mission is to provide proactive leadership, enhancing the quality of life and sustainability of Hawai‘i Island communities through programs related to agriculture, economic development, energy, tourism,community development and film.

Collect and develop data necessary for managerial and legislative decision making, and program and policy-making.

Provide staff leadership for public and private development programs, enterprises and plans, including economic, social and cultural proposals, which enhance improvement of the county community.

Coordinate informational and regulatory knowledge of all federal and state grant in-aid participation programs which affect the county.
